The students in Grade 7K are participating in a Social Studies project in which they will become local historians and archivists. Students will be going out into the community to find owners of old photographs. Students will create a digital copy of the photographs and they will also conduct an interview with the owners of the photographs. The goal of this interview will be to gather the story behind the photo.
Students will ultimately be adding the photos and stories to the Historypin website.

On Monday June 4th, the students in Grade 7K participated in a Skype conference with a class of grade 6 students from Queen of Peace Middle School in Happy Valley-Goose Bay which is located in central Labrador. The students in Mrs. Bussey’s class have just begun their own Historypin project and they had lots of questions for the Grade 7K students and teachers.
